The Fun Station

Do you miss being a kid? Sometimes I miss not having to pay bills and go outside and play with friends all day. When I miss those days I like going to the fun station. I think deep down everyone likes to act like a little kid now and again. The Fun Station is nothing but fun. It has bumper boats, batting cages, miniature golf, go karts, and lazer tag. It's nice to go with friends and battle each other in a game of lazer tag. It always brings back memories when I was little and thought I was James Bond or something. Then the bumper boats is always fun trying to get your friends soaked with water. The go karts are always fun when your racing a friend. It's always nice to go with friends and just have a good time with fun games and some pizza. The price varies depending on what one wants to do but it's always a guaranteed fun time. It's always nice to go back in age for a couple of hours and just enjoy it while it lasts. I certainly understand why my parents always told me to enjoy being a little kid while it lasted. The one thing that has changed the most is when I was younger I remember the miniature golf course being a lot bigger but now it seems much smaller.

Movies!!

Is it cold outside and there's nothing to do? Or is it raining and you can't do outdoor events? Regardless of the reason sometimes people just want to be inside and do pass the time. If this is the case and you want to do something relaxing and enjoyable then the movies is for you. There are four local movie theaters. The first one is Governor Square it's a little less expensive than the Tallahassee AMC movie theatre. Both of them are nice movie theatres but the AMC one is a bit bigger. The last movie theatre is the one located on campus and if your a student it's free. However it doesn't play all the recently released movies like the other two theatres do. The last one is the IMAX theatre. It's a bit different from original movie theatres. The IMAX theatre is the most expensive but it is an experience. If you liked the movie Avatar in the regular movie theatres than you will really like it in IMAX. I enjoy going to the movies on rainy days. There's nothing to do outside and it's nice to dress comfortably and go watch a romantic comedy with some popcorn and peanut M&M's. It's also nice to go with some friends and just hang out. What's really great about the movies is that there are new ones that come out every friday so there's always a variety. Not only are there new movies but there is a variety. Most of the time you can either watch a horror, comedy, action/adventure, or chik flik.

Antique Car Museum

The Antique Car Museum is a great place for those who are car lovers. I personally don't know anything about cars but I do think cars look cool. If your looking for something to pass the time and to try something different the car museum is for you. It's a really cool place. There's cars from the late 1800's to the 2000's. Theres cars that needed to be carried by horses. If you go there the batmobile is also there. It's really cool to look at the history of them and how much they have changed. You don't need to know anything about cars to enjoy this museum. The museum isn't going to break the bank. It's about eleven dollars for students. There's cars that remind me of the movie Grease. There is also a car that reminds me of the cars that were in the Titanic. All in all I think it's a cool place to go to and it's different.

Football Games!!!

If your looking for some excitement and fun then the FSU football games are great for you. If your an FSU student luckily for you it's free. If you like to show off your school spirit you can dress from head to toe in the garnet and gold colors. It's fun to tailgate and hang out with friends. It's also a great way to meet new people if your looking into meeting new people. There is always excitment when it comes to rivalry football teams. It's also a great way to get away from the books and to have a good time on Saturdays. It's usually an all day event if you plan on tailgating. If your not interested in the tailgating aspect you can always just go with some friends and enjoy the game. The FSU and Miami Hurricane game was one of the most exciting games that I saw this year. During the entire game each team kept taking the lead. There was only a few seconds left in the fourth quarter and we needed a touchdown. Our quarterback led the team down the field with time for only one more play. He went back to throw the ball in the endzone. He threw the pass and the receiver didn't catch the ball and we lost. Yes it wasn't fun that we lost but I always like going to see an exciting game. I don't like watching blowouts because there's no competition. If you want to show school spirit and have fun with friends then go to the FSU football games.

Tom Brown Park

If you are really into the outdoors then Tom Brown park is perfect for you. I love coming here. There are several different hiking trails that someone could take. there are also mountain biking trails as well. It's the perfect place to either just enjoy the nature and beauty or exercise. There is also a playground so if you still feel like being a little kid you can play on the playground as well. I usually like to go on the really long mile hike and end up here. It's completely silent and you can't hear any cell phones ringing or cars driving by. It's a place to escape from reality and hear silence. It's also a great spot to have a picnic if that's what you enjoy. At this park it's not all about the nature trails there is also a BMX track and a track for a remote control car. There are also Frisbee golf sections in it as well. All in all this is a great place to go to on a nice day to relax and enjoy nature. The best part is it's free. So if your a college student and are looking for something to do that doesn't cost anything well here you go. I've been here several times and always enjoy going there to unwind from my hectic life.
